British Values

At our school, we actively promote the fundamental British Values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. These values are woven throughout school life and underpin our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive and respectful community where every child feels valued, heard and able to thrive.

Through our curriculum, assemblies, relationships and everyday experiences, pupils are encouraged to understand their rights and responsibilities, make positive choices, respect different viewpoints and celebrate diversity. We provide opportunities for children to develop their voice, take responsibility, understand the importance of rules and fairness, and appreciate the beliefs, cultures and experiences of others. In doing so, we help our pupils develop the knowledge, confidence and character they need to contribute positively to their school and wider community.
